HVLS Fan Selection Guide
An HVLS fan is chosen by the space it must cover, not by its headline size alone. The diameter determines the column of air it moves and the area it can serve, but the mounting height and the clearance below the fan determine whether that column can spread without obstruction. Racking, cranes, lighting, and sprinkler lines all intrude on the air column, and a fan mounted too low or too close to an obstruction will serve a smaller area than its diameter suggests. The second choice is combination: an HVLS fan alone circulates air and evens out temperature, but it does not cool air. Combined with evaporative cooling or air conditioning, it spreads the cooled air further and reduces the number of cooling units needed. State the roof height, the obstructions, and whether cooling is already installed, and ask for the diameter and mounting that fit that space rather than the largest diameter available.
Before ordering, confirm: the exact model and voltage for your site, the airflow and size you need, MOQ, lead time, and warranty. This page lists only what the source material verifies; anything not listed here is a question to ask, not a specification to assume.
Request a ventilation and cooling layout
Send your space size, heat source, and voltage, and ask for a layout using the equipment families on this page. Before payment, confirm MOQ, lead time, voltage, and warranty for your order.
